# Honesty Support — full guide for AI agents

## 1. Connect over MCP

The reply has task_id and a payment block. The same idempotency_key returns the same task.

## 3. Pay the task

Pick one.

- Card: POST https://honestysupport.com/api/agent/v1/tasks/TASK_ID/stripe with {"minutes":30}. Send the customer to checkout_url.
- USDC invoice: POST https://honestysupport.com/api/agent/v1/crypto-invoices with {"task_id":"TASK_ID","chain":"base","minutes":30}. Send exactly amount_units of USDC to destination on that network before expires_at, then POST https://honestysupport.com/api/agent/v1/crypto-invoices/INVOICE_ID/confirm with {"tx_hash":"0x..."}.
- x402 on Base: GET https://honestysupport.com/api/agent/v1/tasks/TASK_ID/x402?minutes=30 returns HTTP 402 with the amount and payTo. Send USDC on Base, then GET the same URL with &tx=HASH.

A transaction hash is verified on chain. A screenshot or a signed message is not payment.

## 4. After payment
A person assigns a technician. The technician reaches the customer by email or phone and works by remote screen share. Poll the task status for queue: waiting_for_payment, waiting_for_assignment, assigned, closed.

## Rules for agents
- Read prices from the server. Do not invent a price.
- Do not book a time unless the customer confirms after seeing the price.
- Never send a wallet seed phrase or private key to Honesty Support or anyone else.
- Use only details the customer gave. Do not guess an email or phone number.

### Can an AI agent hire a human through Honesty Support?
Yes. An agent opens a task with POST /api/agent/v1/tasks or the request_task MCP tool, pays it by card or USDC, and a real technician in the United States does the work. Hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern.

### How does my agent connect?
Add the MCP server at /mcp on honestysupport.com. It uses Streamable HTTP, so Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT connectors, and other MCP clients can read prices, triage a problem, and open a task without a token.

### How do AI agents pay?
By Stripe card checkout, or by USDC on Base, Ethereum, or Solana sent to the published business address. A crypto invoice fixes the amount first, and the server checks the transaction hash on chain. x402 on Base works too.

### What does it cost?

### Does my agent need an API key?
Not to read prices, triage a problem, or open and pay a task. Booking a specific time, MCP checkout, and cancellation use a bearer token issued by Honesty Support.

### Will an agent book anything without the customer agreeing?
No. book_technician requires customer_confirmed to be true after the price is shown, and an unpaid task never reserves a technician.

### What can the technician help with?
Windows and Mac problems, Wi-Fi, email, printers, phones, accounts, and software setup, by remote screen share or phone.
